Wholesale Flower Quality Tiers

A buyer-oriented guide to outdoor, greenhouse, indoor, top-shelf, and exotic terminology.

Terms are not standards

Labels such as indoor, exotic, and top shelf are marketing shorthand rather than universal grades. Evaluate appearance, aroma, trim, cure, structure, moisture, batch consistency, and documentation instead of relying on a tier name alone.

Compare like with like

Small buds, shake, greenhouse flower, and hand-finished indoor flower serve different uses and price bands. Convert offers to the same weight, account for usable yield, and note whether freight, packaging, testing, or white-label services are included.

Document acceptance

Before purchasing, define acceptable moisture, foreign-matter tolerance, potency range, COA age, packaging, substitution rules, and remediation disclosure. Written specifications make receiving decisions more consistent and reduce disputes.
